Priya Singhvi - Cultural Competency and Social Emotional Learning
Welcome, y’all! I am Priya Singhvi, a counselor, connector, and coach with over 13 years of teaching and consulting experience in public and private schools, nonprofit organizations, and community agencies. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Resilience Coach, and Certified Diversity Professional born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I currently serve as the Director of Health and Wellness at Rye Country Day School; curriculum creator and facilitator of Learners for Life for Global Online Academy; and CEO & Founder of Meaningful Minds.
I have a certification in diversity and inclusion from Cornell University, a Master of Science from Southern Methodist University, and Bachelor of Arts from Austin College.
My purpose-driven mission is simple: help minds thrive. I am passionate about social-emotional learning, mindfulness, student-teacher relationships, neuroscience, and cultural competency and modeling research-based best practices—this is what has been at the heart of my work with adolescents, the teachers who lead them, and the parents who love them.
I have worked with Harvard-Westlake, Bay Area BlendEd Consortium, Collin College, Universal Technical Institute, Texas Woman’s University, Punahou School, Southern Methodist University, and The OESIS Group. I have also presented at NAIS, Bay Area BlendED Symposium, OESIS, the Beyond Bullying Conference, Mental Health America Adolescent Symposium, and more on my research and work with students.
