LAUSANNE LEARNING WORKSHOP TYPES
Fishbowl Classroom
(45 min teaching/20 min debrief)
Active Learning Made Visible: Fishbowls are an opportunity to teach within a live classroom with students while attendees observe. After the lesson, the presenter leads a 20-minute debrief. This is an opportunity for presenters to facilitate deeper reflection and discussion among professionals observing the session. Facilitators may also wish to share resources, references, research, and professional literature that have influenced their practice and support the presentation.
Active Learning Workshops
(1 hour active learning session)
Hands-on Learning for Educators: Presenters who choose to host a conversation, workshop, or session without students are invited to submit proposals on any topic related to innovative or student-centered learning. We encourage potential presenters to engage their audience in discussion and active learning that goes beyond traditional direct instruction. Presenters can share the resources, references, research, and professional literature that have influenced their practice and support the presentation.
